From garments to stitching, every loop and thread finds its origin 100% on Belgian soil. In our own hometown of Deinze. This strengthens the belief that our clothing is better for you. But also for the environment and for our employees. We like our fabrics to stretch — but not our principles.
People often forget how complex it is to make a piece of sportswear. There are countless production steps before you can even buy your favourite t-shirt, sports bra or legging. All of RectoVerso’s production is exclusively done in Belgium, by the mother company and family business Liebaert Textiles.
Conducting a business with integrity and respect has always been a part of the RectoVerso DNA. Respect towards the environment and our employees. We believe ‘premium’ is a title that should be earned. It follows that a commitment should go beyond the boundaries of your own enterprise. Through sustainable business development we try and show this commitment. To make sure that the next generations are able to live in the same environment as you did. Each year, the company invests over a million euros in cutting-edge technologies in order to decrease our ecologic footprint.
Today, we are one of the only companies in the industry to have an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certificate. Our sustainability measures are unmatched and earned numerous labels such as the OekoTex Made in Green label.
It all starts with the raw materials such as Elastane, Nylon and Polyester. These raw materials are then knitted and woven into fabrics and narrows in the knitting and weaving department which is the heart of our company. The quality of your RV products is not only determined by the production process but also by the quality of the fibres that are used. For this reason we only buy from the best European suppliers. Once the fabrics and narrows have been dyed or printed and thoroughly inspected, they’re ready to be processed in the confection department.
The cutting patterns of each piece are generated automatically and placed like a puzzle to minimize waste. The patterns are cut with lazer for optimal precision and speed, and bundled in individual “packages” and forwarded to the sewing department to be constructed.
This is where your sportswear item starts to take shape. Each piece is carefully sewn together using tried and tested techniques.
All of the fabrics and garments are given a final check for construction errors or other irregularities. This to ensure the best quality for your next sportswear item. The garment is given a quick ironing and packaged carefully before being shipped to you.
The entire production process has been designed and corrected to meet the highest sustainability requirements. We only have one planet, and we feel responsible to take care of it. Today, RectoVerso is one of the only brands in the industry to have an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certificate and OekoTex Made in Green label.
